The ice cream social held at the Mountain History Museum to celebrate Independence Day on July 4, the same day as the Lake Arrowhead fireworks, attracted more than 125 residents and visitors. This tradition was started by Jim Huff many years ago after the museum stopped sponsoring the Old Fashioned Fourth of July Picnic, that the museum ha coordinated and sponsored for about a decade. Shown are the volunteers who scooped the ice cream from the library and guests enjoying their treat on the museum’s patio under the shade canopy.
