New GM takes the helm in Running Springs

The Running Springs Water District is pleased to announce that Christopher T. Jones has been selected as the next general manager of the Running Springs Water District. He officially joined the team on Tuesday, Oct. 28.

Jones brings nearly 20 years of progressive leadership experience in water resources, environmental management and public-sector operations. Most recently, he served as the coordinator of the Headwaters Resiliency Partnership, co-director of the San Bernardino Mountains Lab and the

Preserve System program manager at the San Bernardino Valley Municipal Water District.

Jones holds a Bachelor of Science in economics, a Master of Environmental Science and Management and a certificate in Geographic Information Systems (GIS). In addition to his professional expertise, Jones is actively involved in many community events and organizations.

The Running Springs Water District board of directors is enthusiastic about bringing Jones on board, stating that his extensive background will benefit the community with knowledgeable oversight of the District.

The Running Springs Water District is a local public agency charged with the duty of supplying and maintaining water service, providing fire and emergency medical care services and operating

wastewater collection and treatment facilities for the residents, users and taxpayers of this area. The District is an independent special district that was formed in March 1958.
