Over the past month, several new businesses that have opened in the mountain communities have been honored by the chambers of commerce with grand opening ribbon cutting ceremonies. These business openings represent a confidence in the future of the economy of the local communities.

MCH Gift Shop

The gift shop at Mountains Community Hospital (1) held its ribbon cutting on Sept. 24, sponsored by the Lake Arrowhead Chamber of Commerce. The gift shop, which is operated by volunteers of the hospital auxiliary, was relocated and has undergone a total remodel over the past year. They invite the community to stop by and see all the lovely items they have in the store. They received recognition from Congressman Jay Obernolte’s office, State Senator Ochoa Bogh’s office and Supervisor Rowe’s office for the positive vibes they bring to the hospital.

Lake Arrowhead Rejuvenation Spa

The Lake Arrowhead Rejuvenation Spa (2) had a ribbon-cutting ceremony celebrating its grand opening in Twin Peaks at 26744 Highway 189 on Oct. 11. They hosted a reception at their newly remodeled log-style office building offering specials on some of their various health treatments, showing off their specialized equipment including a sound bed, halotherapy and redlight therapy among other services supervised by owner Elizabeth (with scissors), who offers a holistic approach to wellness, restoring balance to mind, body, and spirit through a variety of rejuvenating treatments and services. They received certificates of recognition from Congressman Obernolte’s office and from Robin Bull representing County Supervisor Dawn Rowe’s office.  Contact them at (909) 897-7897 for an appointment.

Alpine Styles

On Oct. 17, the Crestline Chamber of Commerce cut the ribbon opening Alpine Styles (3) featuring hair stylists Kyrsten Dixon (with scissors) and Heather Aragon. The salon overlooks Lake Gregory at the corner of Lake and Lake Gregory Drive on the second story at  24186 Lake Dr #C. Inside the salon are beautiful large art pieces and modern salon equipment. Contact them at (909) 698-4838 for an appointment. Representatives from Congressman Jay Obernolte’s office, State Senator Ochoa Bogh’s office and Supervisor Dawn Rowe’s office attended and presented certificates of recognition. Afterwards everyone signed the large red ribbon as a memory of the ceremony; it was presented to the Kyrsten and Heather by Crestline Chamber of Commerce President Louis Boehle (left).
