Help make a child’s Christmas merry

Dec 4, 2025 | Mountain Events

Colorful children's toys including blocks, balls, and robot.

To help make more children’s Christmases merry, several toy drives are being held on the mountain.

The local county libraries are partnering with Child and Family Services to bring more joy this holiday season. The local libraries will have drop-off boxes until Dec. 9.

For the seventh consecutive year, toys are being collected at 12 spots around the mountain until Dec. 19. Drop them off at the Crestline Café in Crestline; the Elk Lodge and Rim Forest Lumber in Rimforest; Coldwell Banker Skyridge Realty in Blue Jay; The Parlour Room in Skyforest; The Grill at the Antlers in Twin Peaks; The Cut Above in Running Springs; RB’s Steakhouse in Cedar Glen; and Lake Arrowhead Pizza Deli, the Lakefront Tap Room and the Lake Arrowhead Brewery in Lake Arrowhead.

Hundreds of gifts that need to be wrapped are donated each year. Join in the fun on Dec. 20 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Lake Arrowhead Community Presbyterian Church. It’s an opportunity for children to see and understand there are a lot of children who would not have a Christmas if it weren’t for their help. Wrapping paper and tape will be supplied but volunteers are encouraged to bring their own scissors.

The Crestline Sanitation District is holding its eighth annual toy drive. Folks are asked to drop off an unwrapped toy or gift card for teens at their office (24516 Lake Drive) or at the Crestline Village Water District (777 Cottonwood Drive) by Dec. 10. All toys will be delivered to the Mountain Communities Boys & Girls Club.

The San Bernardino County firefighters will hold their annual bonfire in Lake Arrowhead Village on Thursday, Dec. 4 from 5-8 p.m. Fill the boot with cash and bring new unwrapped toys for their Spark of Love toy drive.

And the Lake Arrowhead Communities Chamber of Commerce will be collecting unwrapped toys for the Boys & Girls Club at their holiday mixer on Dec. 17 at the UCLA Lake Arrowhead Lodge.
