After more than 25 years of serving the mountain community, Twin Peaks Auto Service has entered a new chapter, continuing operations as a dedicated smog inspection station.

In July of last year, the full automotive repair portion of the business transitioned to a new, independent operation, Twin Peaks Motorworks. Customers seeking mechanical repair services will continue to find the same familiar employees, experienced technicians and friendly service at the longtime shop location at 26100 Highway 189.

Twin Peaks Auto Service remains open and is now focused exclusively on smog inspections at 764 Rose Lane, Twin Peaks, CA 92391.

Twin Peaks Auto Service is a STAR-certified smog inspection station, meaning it is authorized to perform all types of California smog inspections. These include regular biennial smog checks, STAR-directed inspections, out-of-state vehicle inspections and change-of-ownership smog certifications. STAR stations meet the state’s highest standards for accuracy, compliance, and performance.

“After many years of full-service repair work, this transition allows us to focus on providing an essential service while continuing to serve our community,” said owner Rory Balmer. “Smog inspections are something every driver needs, and we’re proud to offer them with the same honesty and care our customers have always known.”

Twin Peaks Auto Service extends sincere thanks to its loyal customers for more than 25 years of trust, friendship and support, and looks forward to continuing to serve the community for years to come.
