The Running Springs Area Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce the successful opening of the 2026 season of the Running Springs Farmers Market & Artisan Faire, which welcomed shoppers on Saturday, April 26 for its 15th season. The market will continue every Saturday through Nov. 21, 2026.
Despite cool temperatures and forecasts calling for a return of wintry weather, hundreds of shoppers turned out to enjoy opening day festivities beginning at 9:00 a.m. Fortunately, rain and snow held off until after the market closed.
To celebrate opening day, the first 50 shoppers received a complimentary limited-edition shopping bag. In addition, shoppers who spent at least $25 received a special promotional item, as opening day also coincided with the market’s monthly promotional Saturday, held on the final Saturday of each month. Families may receive up to two promotional items per promotional Saturday. Monthly promotional items are announced on the chamber’s social media channels during the week leading up to each event.
Now entering its 15th season, the market has become a cherished community tradition and an important gathering place for residents and visitors alike. What began as a community idea has grown into a vibrant weekly event featuring fresh produce, artisan goods, expanded vendor participation, family-friendly entertainment and promotions.
“Beyond providing access to healthy foods and being a wonderful venue for artisans to showcase their creations, the Running Springs Farmers Market & Artisan Faire has become an important community tradition,” said Kevin Somes, chamber president and market manager. “It has also served as a business incubator, helping many entrepreneurs launch their ventures, with some ultimately opening brick-and-mortar locations.”
The Chamber extends its sincere appreciation to the Running Springs Water District for the continued use of its property as the market venue. Additional thanks go to the Farmers Market Committee and valued supporters including Burkitt’s Bugs, First Foundation Bank, Mountains Community Hospital, Rim of the World Recreation and Park District and Starlight Photography.
