Judy Romero, the new commander of American Legion Post 360, has a dream: To create the Rim of the World Veterans Alliance.

“We would stand together at events like Fill the Bus, creating a bigger outreach,” she said at her installation on July 20.

Romero, an Air Force veteran, and the rest of the Post 360 board were installed by Tina Clapperton of Post 262 Fontana, who is the District 25 adjutant and part of the district installation team.

Representatives from VFW Post 9624 and RimVets were at the meeting, displaying that sense of togetherness Romero seeks to foster.

Looking ahead, the Post’s scholarship recipients will be recognized at the August barbecue. Romero plans a sit-down dinner with a silent auction for the December meeting.

And looking even further ahead, she is working on holding a carnival next summer. “It will be some good family fun,” she said.
