Get ready to fight for domination, Rim communities youth. Rim Communities For Youth is preparing for a laser tag event on Friday, Oct. 9, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Sandals Church in Lake Arrowhead.
The laser tag event will feature rounds with groups of 12 who will battle it out on a specially designed glow-in-the-dark course with obstacles. Each group will have two teams of six players. Each player will have 15 lives. When a player runs out of lives, they will leave the course. The last player standing in each round wins.
The laser tag event is open to middle school and high school-aged Rim communities youth and free to participate. Laser tag equipment is provided as are food and refreshments. Parents and guardians should be advised that there will be photography and flashing lights during the event for youth who may be sensitive to those elements.
Rim Communities For Youth is a local coalition based in Skyforest under Rim Family Services’ Environmental Prevention Program. Its mission is to reduce underage access to and use of drugs and alcohol. Additionally, the coalition serves as a resource to link community members with services such as treatment for substance abuse, addiction and counseling through many of its respected counterparts throughout the Rim communities and beyond. Rim Family Services is a nonprofit 501(c)3 organization.
