Come share the flavors of the world

Oct 4, 2023 | Food

This Saturday, Oct. 7, the Lake Arrowhead Kitchen and International Tasting Tour returns after a COVID-induced hiatus.

The tour is sponsored this year by the Rotary Club of Lake Arrowhead with the philosophy of international peace and understanding of other cultures.

At the “heart of the home” is the kitchen, where many possibly momentous events take place around the hearth or the table. The kitchen is where good company and wonderful foods are shared. All around the world, the atmosphere of camaraderie and comfort are associated with the kitchen and food.

On this year’s tour, guests will enjoy the flavors of Argentina, Portugal, the Mediterranean, Israel and Scandinavia in the kitchens of five generous hosts and hostesses.

At each home, guests will sample teas from the geographic area being featured. A complimentary glass of wine will be served at each home between 3 and 4 p.m.

All proceeds from the tour will be used by the Rotary club to promote scholarships to Rim-area students, to support community projects and humanitarian projects around the world.

Only 200 tickets will be sold at $60 per person. They will be available at The Lake House in Cedar Glen and on the Rotary Club of Lake Arrowhead’s website (https://portal.clubrunner.ca/7199).
