Letters to the Editor

Nov 1, 2023 | Letters to the Editor, Opinion Editorials

On behalf of the Rotary Club of Crestline-Lake Gregory, I would like to thank all the guests who attended our recent fundraising event, Lobster at the Lake. It was an evening filled with delicious lobster, amazing silent auction items and great music from the Highland Music Company.

There are many folks who deserve our thanks: Phillip Cooper and Jesse Mills, who masterfully cooked the lobsters with the help of Elizabeth O’Neil. Chef Fred Keville, who supervised the National Honor Society students in the kitchen and the crew from Goodwin’s who served the food. The Highland Music Company for getting everyone up dancing. All the donors of the silent auction items.

Special thanks to Cecilia Ponce de Leon, who made a donation on behalf of the Alpine Mountaineer to help offset the cost of renting the San Moritz Lodge.

We will be using the proceeds from this event to help put on the free community Thanksgiving dinner on Nov. 23. Come enjoy a delicious dinner from 12 to 4 p.m. And we’d welcome your help – many hands make light work!
