Firearms located at Lake Arrowhead home of felon

On Thursday, July 11, at about 8:00 p.m., deputies from the Twin Peaks Sheriff’s Station served a search warrant at the residence of Daniel James, 49, in the 500 block of East Victoria Court, Lake Arrowhead.

James, a convicted felon, was believed to be in possession of firearms and ammunition. During the execution of the search warrant, deputies located several firearms, ammunition, metal knuckles and black powder inside of the residence. During a search of James’ vehicle, deputies located four loaded rifles, a bulletproof vest and a ski mask.

James was arrested and booked into the Central Detention Center for charges including: felon in possession of a firearm, felon in possession of ammunition, felon in possession of body armor, felon in possession of high-capacity ammunition magazines and felon in possession of metal knuckles.
