Navarro extradited and arrested

Nov 4, 2026 | Crestline, Front Page, State

Erik Eduardo Navarro

As part of an active local investigation, the Twin Peaks Detective Bureau identified suspect Erik Navarro was in Cleveland County, Oklahoma, incarcerated on separate traffic charges.

Working in coordination with the San Bernardino County District Attorney’s Office and the Cleveland County Sheriff’s Office, detectives obtained an extradition warrant.

On Oct. 27, Twin Peaks detectives flew to Oklahoma, assumed custody of Navarro and returned him to San Bernardino County.

Navarro was booked into the West Valley Detention Center pending prosecution for PC 243(d) – Battery with Serious Injury, PC 211 – Robbery, PC 368(b)(1) – Elder Abuse Likely to Produce Great Bodily Injury or Death, and PC 245(a)(1) – Assault with a Deadly Weapon.

On Tuesday, Aug. 25, at about 6:00 a.m., deputies had been dispatched to the 23900 block of Straight Way in the community of Crestline for a welfare check of a 71-year-old female victim. When deputies arrived on scene, they located the victim inside her residence. It was determined the victim was assaulted with a baseball bat and sustained multiple injuries including a laceration to her forehead, cut eyebrow, swollen hands and swollen orbital area to the point she was unable to clearly see.

Through investigation, the suspect was identified as Erik Eduardo Navarro who had been living with the victim for approximately two weeks. The attack stemmed from the victim asking Navarro to leave the residence. During the argument, Navarro struck the victim multiple times with a metal baseball bat at various spots on her body and kicked her several times. Navarro fled the scene before deputies arrived.

Anyone with information related to this investigation is encouraged to contact the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department Twin Peaks Station at (909) 336-0660.
