Suspect arrested on numerous weapons charges

On Tuesday, July 9, deputies from the Twin Peaks Sheriff’s Station responded to a residence in Lake Arrowhead in reference to a firearm being stolen. The investigation revealed Charles Vogleman, a convicted felon who is prohibited from owning or possessing firearms, had stolen the firearm.

Investigators from the Twin Peaks Station conducted an extensive investigation and determined Vogleman, 54, resided at a residence on the 3100 block of N. Genevieve Street in San Bernardino.

On Thursday, July 11, investigators authored and served a search warrant at Vogleman’s residence. During the service of the search warrant, the stolen firearm, ammunition and two bulletproof vests were located.

Vogleman was arrested for PC 487(D)(2), theft of a firearm; PC 29800(A)(1), felon in possession of a firearm; PC 25850(A), possession of a stolen firearm; PC 30305(A)(1), felon in possession of Ammunition; and PC  31360(A), felon in possession of body armor. Vogleman was booked at the Central Detention Center.
