Road work on Keller Peak Road (Forest Service Road 1N96), which began on July 29, will restrict public access to the road on Monday through Friday through Sept. 20.

The following sites will be impacted: Shady Cove Campground, yellow post sites off the road and Trail 2W09X. Visitors with reservations to the campground can enter on Fridays for check-in at 2 p.m. and exit on Monday mornings; there will be road control traffic delays. The concessionaire is in the process of notifying customers with reservations Monday through Thursday through the end of August.

During the Labor Day weekend, visitors will be allowed to leave on the morning of Tuesday, Sept. 3.

The project will include personnel and equipment on Keller Peak Road. The restrictions provide for public safety, safety of workers and efficient work operations.

The upgrades to the road are being funded by the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law
