The mountains are active with original live theater. Live dinner theater is a luxury in any town and these mountains are fortunate to have several excellent theater groups. The newest show from David Heisler’s Lakeside Players will be performed this weekend at the Tudor House in Arrowhead Villas. This your opportunity to see the world premiere production of the original play No Way Out.

On Saturday, Feb. 22 at 7 p.m. and Sunday, Feb. 23 for a 4 p.m. matinee Heisler will star in this premiere of his play which is on its way to a Hollywood showcase. This will be the last opportunity to enjoy the show before performances are taken on the road and out of the area. Tickets are now available for $20 each online at  www.tudorhouseentertainment.com. If not sold out, tickets will also be available at the door.

Music for this show is by Rachel Murray. Since it is a dinner theater production, the meal is separately priced. Meal service will begin at 5:30 p.m. for the evening show and 3 p.m. for the matinee on Sunday. Meals can be ordered upon arrival at the Tudor House the day of the performance. No advance ordering is required.

The original script written by David Heisler is based on a Franz Kafka story and is a quite an impactful story of loss and a complete life change while making an adaptation to new circumstances, yet completely engrossing and entertaining. Kafka’s story is very challenging and causes one to think.

Can you imagine yourself relaxing with friends when, without warning, you are seriously injured when shot twice, but fortunately not killed. You lose consciousness and awake locked in a cage far from home. Memories of your previous life with family are foggy at best. There are strange creatures walking around your cage speaking an unknown language. You are confused and don’t understand what to do. Your only thought is that you are stuck, and apparently there is “no way out.”

The script written by Heisler is basically a one-man show, which makes the story more impactful and entertaining. After seeing this play you will be thinking about the world and how it works and the future as well.

The Tudor House is located at 800 Arrowhead Villa Road in the Arrowhead Villas section of Lake Arrowhead, just off Highway 18. Purchase tickets in advance at www.tudorhouseentertainment.com.
