Alpine Mountaineer Newspaper,Mountaineer newspaper,Mountain News,Physical Newspaper,Lake Arrowhead Mountain News A double dose of exciting and suspenseful dinner theater shows will be produced at the Tudor House in Arrowhead Villas by the Heisler Theater Company at the end of this month.  Each winter, Heisler brings exciting theatrical productions to fill the drab winter season.

The first spine-tingling show is Sorry, Wrong Number, starring local cast member Renges Fabris playing the role made famous by Barbara Stanwick in the 1948 movie. The staging promises to be unique and a theater of the mind, a unique take on the story.

In the thrilling play, a bedridden woman overhears someone, through a crossed telephone line, saying that there’s a plot to murder someone. She desperately tries, in real time, to get help for the victim, but is stuck in her bedroom. The suspense is real, the mystery is gripping and the storyline leads to a shocking conclusion.

The second play, Cabin B-13 is a story about a murder mystery (or is it?) on the high seas. It’s sort of a “who done it” that will keep you guessing until the very end. A passenger on a luxury liner disappears from the locked Cabin B-13 and, as the tangled web of deception unwinds, there is a twist at each turn as the mystery deepens. The finale is unpredictable and jaw-dropping but afterwords so obvious. It will keep the audience on the edge of their seats.

These tales of intrigue, danger and suspense will leave you captivated and on the edge of your seat. Live theater is a treasure for a community to enjoy.  Come see your neighbors as they show you their dark, yet creative side that takes you into a live world of suspenseful entertainment.

Dinner is being offered by Crooked Cabin Catering. You can see the menu for the evening on the website at www.Heislertheater.com. Dinner begins at 5:30 p.m. for the evening performances and 1 p.m. for the matinee.

The show times are Friday night, Feb. 28 at 7 p.m.; Saturday, March 1 at 7 p.m.; and the final show is a Sunday matinee at 2 p.m. on March 2. The historic Tudor House is located at 800 Arrowhead Villa Road in the Arrowhead Villas section of Lake Arrowhead, off Highway 18. Tickets are now on sale at www.heislertheater.com.

The suspense does not end there. On April 25, 26 and 27, another set of suspenseful shows will be presented by the Heisler Theater: The Hitchhiker and The ABC Murders.
