The certified farmers market and artisan faire sponsored by the Running Springs Area Chamber of Commerce opened for the season on May 1. Each Saturday has seen crowd of folks perusing the fresh fruits and vegetables and specialty items from the various vendors.
The market will continue through Oct. 30 on Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Free Snow Valley Mountain Resort ski lift tickets have been given out on the last Saturday of each month with a purchase from the farmers market. That promotion will continue on Sept. 25 and then be offered every Saturday in October.
Many community organizations set up booths to share information about their services. There is food available for sale and live music.
There will be an arts and crafts extravaganza on Sept. 25. And watch for Halloween fun on Oct. 30.
The market is located at 2645 Whispering Pines Drive in Running Springs, next to the library.
