On Sept. 23, members of Soroptimist International of Rim of the World gathered with friends at a fundraiser sponsored by the Lake Arrowhead Brewing Co.

Owner Travis Lanthier donated 15 percent of the proceeds of all drinks sold that afternoon and evening to the SIROW scholarship fund.

In addition to the food being sold by Elevated Greens, the SIROW members sold pretzels. The pretzel booth was staffed with new pretzel experts Barbara Acuna, Sheila Arnett, Jean Goodman, Linda Godin, Andrea Hilton, Lauralea Hopper, Laura MacFarlane, Nancy Mellinger, Elaine Tipton, Sue Walker, Ann Wheeler and Virgie Witte.
SIROW would like to thank Lanthier, his family and crew, as well as Michael Acuna, who provided music to entertain the crowd that came and went from noon to 8 p.m.

The SIROW members also thank the mountain community for their continued support of the nonprofit’s mission: to improve the lives of women and girls both internationally and locally. They support two local programs: Dream It Be It at Rim High and Every Girl Counts at Mary Putnam Henck Intermediate School.
