Volunteers removing snow from the roof at Jensen’s last winter

Construction began on Monday night at Jensen’s Finest Foods in Blue Jay to repair the damage to the roof done by the heavy snow loads last winter.

According to Chad Logan, whose company Logan Construction is doing the work, they moved equipment into place last Friday. They will be removing large sections of the roof and putting new steel trusses in place.

Logan added that Jensen’s will be open during construction but closing early. His crew will be working from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m.
