A new store in town, the Crestline Jerky Company, is having a ribbon cutting grand opening celebration on Saturday, Feb. 3 from 2 to 7 p.m. The ribbon cutting will be at 2:15 p.m. and, after that, they are having a block party with the other new merchants in the retail block directly across from the Rim Bowling lanes.
They are advertising the afternoon as a block party, and they are inviting everyone. There will be wine and ale samplings from the San Marzano Wine and Ale Lounge, along with macaroni and cheese samples, plus there will be food and snacks for those who attend the event.
The Crestline Jerky Company not only has a wide assortment of jerky, it has a cavalcade of unusual candy, some clothing, signs and gifts. The many tastes of jerky are custom made for the Crestline Jerky Company, which has been in business for several years as a jerky brand sold in other stores and farmers markets in the area. They will have samples of some of their many varieties of flavored licorices and other unusual candy flavors.
They invite you to come to this event and meet artist Lyndian from the store Artistry and Alchemy. Also, Miguel Torres will be sewing decorative patches on garments that residents may bring or come purchase one of Torres’ beautiful shirts and jackets the store has in stock. The Crestline Jerky Company has become a unique boutique, run by longtime local resident Travis Paternostro. For more details, call the shop at (909) 589-9183.
The Crestline Chamber of Commerce invites everyone in the community to come to this ribbon cutting ceremony and the neighboring merchants encourage folks to stay all afternoon as they are celebrating until 7 p.m. They encourage drivers to park in the park and ride parking lot across the street between Sleepy Hollow and Rim Bowling. They would like those who will be driving along Lake Drive that afternoon to be aware and watch out for pedestrians crossing over to the parking in front of the bowling alley.
The new home décor shop, Woodcraft Décor, which is in that strip of new businesses, will have tables showing off their latest and unique home décor items, many made locally.
The other merchants in the block are also celebrating with Crestline Jerky. Molly’s Art Studio and Gallery will be showing off her latest paintings. Molly will be giving a painting demonstration between 4 and 6 p.m. that afternoon, after which she will be raffling off the painting. Inside the gallery she is showcasing the art of local artist Jim Chrysler all month long.
Flair for Hair, which is next door to Crestline Jerky, has always been a great place for haircuts, styles and color. She will be there welcoming guests.
The Crestline Antique shop will also have a sidewalk display of some of their thousands of unique items. Crestline Antiques has been in business at this location for several years. They sell everything from furniture to paintings, home décor, trinkets, dishes and books, to the background sounds of classic rock videos.
