Sheriff’s deputies at the scene were tight-lipped as far as details on why they were there.

“The death appeared suspicious, and our homicide investigators from the Sheriff’s Specialized Investigation Detail responded and took control of the investigation,” said Sheriff’s Public Information Officer Mara Rodriguez.

Through investigation, homicide detectives learned the victim had had an altercation with Sui Tin Thang.

On Wednesday, May 15, authorities arrested Thang, a 42-year-old Twin Peaks man, on suspicion of murder.

The District Attorney’s office has filed first-degree murder charges against Thang. No further details were available at press time.
