Making everyone look and feel more beautiful. That is the goal of Dr. Michael Morris, who, with Cecilia Ponce de Leon, has opened the Health and Beauty Boutique in Lake Arrowhead.

“And this is a beautiful town to do it in,” Dr. Morris said at the grand opening ceremony.

The ceremony was attended by representatives of several local legislators. Assemblyman Tom Lackey himself was present. He congratulations Ponce de Leon and Dr. Morris, saying “I’m proud of the risks a small business takes.”

“What do we do here?” Dr. Morris asked. “Basically, we fight against aging.”

The boutique is, he said, primarily a Botox facility. But he is also passionate about helping women avoid what he calls “the torture of menopause” and, for men, andropause.

The side effects of menopause, Dr. Morris said, are “extremely fixable.” He added that studies now show that women on estrogen treatment for menopause “have no greater chance of breast cancer.”

In the future, he hopes to bring stem cell therapy to the boutique.

The boutique, located at 337 State Highway 173 in Lake Arrowhead, is currently open Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Call (909) 929-2705.
