Dear Editor:

Sep 14, 2023 | Editorial, Opinion

The Christian Churches of Crestline extend our heartfelt condolences to the family of Lauri Carleton. We grieve with both the family and the mountain community during this difficult time. In the wake of this tragedy, we believe the best course of action is fostering an atmosphere of compassion and kindness.

We have become aware of certain prominent groups intending to stage protests and counter-protests at different locations on our mountain. We do not endorse nor align ourselves with these demonstrations. Instead, we earnestly pray for peace to prevail throughout our beloved mountain community.
