For the second year in a row, local brewmaster extraordinaire Ken Williams has brewed up a batch of his Firework Haze IPA and made arrangements to feature the light, citrusy brew at a number of local venues.
Half the proceeds from the sale of this local brew will be donated to help fund the annual fireworks show over Lake Gregory, held this year on the evening of Saturday, July 6.
The limited-release, small-batch pale ale was recently delivered to San Marzano Wine and Ale Lounge by Kitchen Sink Brewing in Riverside. While last year’s batch was available only in kegs, it can also be found in cans this year.
Locals who are inclined to try this unique, homegrown recipe may find Fireworks Haze IPA at retail locations such as B&L Liquors on Lake Drive in Crestline, Goodwin & Sons Market in Crestline and Littlebear Bottleshop in Skyforest.
Local Crestline establishments planning to pour it include the San Marzano Wine and Ale Lounge (run by Ken Williams, who formulated the recipe), Bizzyland Witches Market, Crestline Café, Rim Sports Bar, Roadhouse Pizza and Wow’s Summer of Fun Market (held each month in the lot behind 7-Eleven).
Until supplies run out, every drop sold supports the fireworks.
