Havenwood is a local retail shop and event space in Running Springs, owned by Becky and Rob Morgan. They bought the property in 2021 and have since turned it into a beautiful gathering space focused on bringing the community together.

Every Saturday from 2 to 7 p.m. through Sept. 7, Havenwood hosts a Summer Camp, where people of all ages can hang out and spend quality time with friends and family. The event hosts live musicians, which change week to week. Guests can grab a bite to eat at El Jefe’s Little Kitchen food truck or a coffee from Coventina coffee truck.

“I wanted to create a space for the community to come together and have a beer with their friends,” Becky said. She also explained that she always wants to include children in those spaces; every Saturday she hosts the Craft Lab, where kids can paint for free. The venue is also home to a flower and vegetable garden where guests can relax in a quieter area. The outdoor lounge area is filled with seating and board games for groups to enjoy.
Last Saturday, guests seemed to be enjoying themselves, filling up the seating area near the live music. Kaylee, a local Twin Peaks resident and first-time attendee said, “Havenwood is a hidden gem, and a great place for friends to hangout.” Attendees of all ages were making use of the space; adults were enjoying a drink and live music, children were playing with the large Jenga and corn hole.

On Sept. 7, after Summer Camp, Havenwood is hosting Sips and Stories with Jeremy Collins. He will be speaking from 7 to 9 p.m. about his rock-climbing adventures and recent book.
